What is 'My Cart'?

When you find an available title that you want to check out, click 'add to cart' to put the title in your cart. When the title is in your cart, it remains available for you to check out. Titles added to your cart are removed after 45 minutes.

How many titles can I have in my cart at the same time?

You can have up to 3 titles in your cart at the same time. You can remove a title from your cart by clicking its 'remove' link.

How long will a title remain in my cart?

Once you add a title to your cart, it will remain there for 45 minutes before it is automatically removed.

How many titles can I have checked out at the same time?

You can have up to 3 titles checked out at any given time.

How many days do I get to keep titles I check out?

The lending period can vary from title to title; the lending period for each item is displayed with other details about the title.

Do I have to return the items that I checked out?

You do not need to return a borrowed item. Once the lending period has elapsed, the title is automatically returned to the library.

Can I return items?

EPUB and PDF eBooks can be returned using Adobe Digital Editions from a computer

EPUB eBooks and MP3 audiobooks can be returned using OverDrive Media Console v2.4 (or newer) for Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone.

Can I renew the items I have checked out?

Titles cannot be renewed, but you can check them out again if they are available when the checkout period ends.

What happens when I place a title on hold?

A title you place on hold will be reserved for you to check out once it becomes available. When the title is available for you, we will email you instructions on checking the item out. The item will be held for you for 3 days after we email you notice that the title is available.

How many items can I place on hold at the same time?

You can place up to 3 titles on hold at a time.

When a hold becomes available for check out, how long do I have to check out the title before the hold expires?

When the title is available for you, we will email you instructions on checking the item out. The item will be held for you for 3 days after we email you notice that the title is available.

How do I cancel a hold?

  1. Login to your account.
    The 'My Account' page is displayed.
  2. Click the 'My Waiting List' link.
    The titles that you have currently placed on hold are displayed.
  3. Click a title's 'Remove' link to cancel the hold.

How do I change the email address that I entered when I placed a hold?

  1. Login to your account.
    The 'My Account' page is displayed.
  2. Click the 'My Waiting List' link.
    The titles that you have currently placed on hold are displayed.
  3. Click a title's 'Edit' link.
    You are prompted to edit holds information.
  4. Enter the new email address in the 'Email address' and 'Confirm Email address' fields.
  5. Click 'Submit'.
    The email address for the selected title is updated.

What is 'My Saved Titles'?

When you find a title that you are interested in, including titles that have not yet been released, you can click 'save title for later' to put the title on your 'My Saved Titles'.

How do I add a title from 'My Saved Titles' to my cart?

  1. If a title on 'My Saved Titles' is available for check out, click the 'add to cart' button.
    The title is added to your cart.
  2. Click 'Proceed to Checkout' to check out the title.

After I check out a title will it be removed from 'My Saved Titles'?

No. Titles remain on 'My Saved Titles' after they are checked out so that you may reference them again if desired. To remove a title from 'My Saved Titles', click the title's 'Remove' link.

I was issued a new library card number and I don't see my checkouts/holds? What should I do?

To transfer your existing checkouts and holds to your new account, please contact support with your new library card number, your previous library card number, and your email address.

What is the OverDrive Advantage Program?

The OverDrive Advantage Program allows a member library to purchase titles exclusively for its patrons. While most of the titles available at this site are available to patrons of all member libraries, titles purchased using the OverDrive Advantage Program are available exclusively to patrons of the library that purchased the titles.

How do I know which titles are available through the OverDrive Advantage Program?

To see the 'Advantage' titles that are available for you to check out or place on hold, you must log in to your account. To log in to your account…

  1. From any page, click the 'My Account' link.
  2. Log in to your account.

When you are logged in, the 'Advantage' titles available to you are displayed among the titles available at this site. 'Advantage' titles are labeled with this icon…

This icon indicates that a title is an 'Advantage' title.

Why do I have to sign in to see if an 'Advantage' title is available?

Because 'Advantage' titles are available exclusively to patrons of the member libraries that purchased them, you must identify yourself as a patron of a specific library before this site can indicate if the title is available to patrons of your library. At this site, you identify yourself as a member of a library by signing in using your library credentials (typically a library card number).
